Our Booking Policy

We have introduced a booking and cancellation policy for walks that are limited by the walk leader.

Walk Booking Policy and Process

  1. Walk spaces can only be booked via the Mad Walkers website
  2. Walk with limited place bookings will open at 7.00pm every Monday for walks on the upcoming weekend. Midweek and additional walks may open at a different time.
  3. The number of spaces on walks is determined by the Walk Leader, if you don't see a space limit on the walk it is unlimited.
  4. A reserve list will be in operation. An email request should be sent to committee@madwalkers.org.uk to be added to the reserve list once the walk is full. A maximum of 3 reserve places per walk will apply.
  5. Following the booking period, walk leaders will be given access to the specific live booking list for their walk. Walk leaders will then inform the participants of the full walk details.

Walk Cancellation Policy

  1. A walker needing to cancel a walk space should ideally notify both the Committee@madwalkers.org.uk email address and the walk leader as soon as possible.
  2. Please follow government advice should you experience any Covid 19 symptoms or have come into contact with anyone that has.
  3. To clarify, place restrictions are only relevant to walks limited by the walk leader.

Weekend Booking Policy and Process

  1. Weekend spaces can only be booked via the Mad Walkers website
  2. You must have a Ramblers Membership in order to book onto a weekend
  3. Names of participants may be shared, a couple of weeks prior to the weekend date, via a Facebook or Whatsapp group in order to help organise lifts etc. No details of participants will be shared prior to payment and people will have the option to not join the Facebook/Whatsapp group.
  4. A reserve list will be in operation. Members will be contacted if a reserve place becomes available.
  5. Following the booking period, the weekend organiser will be given access to the booking information and inform participants of the full details. Your place will not be confirmed until the payment to the MAD walkers account has been completed.

Weekend Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation – Please contact the weekend organiser and weekends@madwalkers.org.uk if you need to cancel your place. Your payment will be non-refundable unless a replacement can be found.
